As the COVID-19 pandemic drags on, many of you may have forgotten about the goals you established at the beginning of the year. A global pandemic and all of the restrictions associated with it can have that effect.
But, as we are coming toward the end of this first year of a new decade, I invite you to turn your attention to the dreams and desires you were cultivating pre-pandemic.
Make Imagination A Daily Habit
No matter what is happening in the outer world, your inner world is a safe place that is not affected one way or another by external events.
In fact, that is the one place where anything you can imagine can happen. You can still dream of any dream. You can still imagine yourself being, doing, or having anything. And, in the external world, you can cultivate small habits that will take you to your dreams despite what is going on in the world around you. That’s because every single thing you see and experience in the outer world begins in your imagination.
In your imagination, you can choose to never be a victim. You are the only one who has complete control over how you imagine your life and all of its circumstances within the parameters of the civil rules and laws of the country in which you live.
Unfortunately, most people misuse the imagination and dwell on things that “happen to them.” Too many people think about the past and interpret it in their imaginations instead of focusing on what they really desire.
A daily habit of imagining your dreams fulfilled will draw you and your dreams together. If you feel like you are a victim of circumstances during this pandemic, I urge you to change your thoughts.
I encourage you to revisit your dreams or establish new ones based on where you are at this very moment. Perhaps the dream you had at the beginning of the year no longer appeals or is no longer appropriate. If it is still viable in your heart, by all means, revisit it. If it is no longer something you desire, find something new that you do desire.
Inspired Action
Your daily habit of imagining your dreams fulfilled – what that looks like, and what that feels like – may also lead you to take other inspired action. Or, in many cases, your dream will begin appearing through opportunities that somehow seem to appear magically.
There might also be some small action you are inspired to incorporate into your day that will support your new dream. You may meet someone who fulfills one aspect of your vision.
An Effortless Enjoyable Habit
The habit of imagining your dreams is likely to become the most enjoyable habit in your life. You will discover that this effortless practice that others may consider mere daydreaming is the most powerful tool for success in your arsenal.
By focusing on mastering this one habit, you can live a more powerful, creative life where you are never a victim because of your power to choose your dreams. If you would like to work with someone who has practiced this way of life and has taught others how to live the life they choose, reach out to me.
I love to tell my clients that, any drop of water from the ocean has the same properties as the entire ocean; but not the same power because one drop can’t make waves. But together with other drops of water, it makes huge waves.
