Perhaps you may not currently agree with the title of this piece. I imagine many would disagree. However, if you really think about it and look at life objectively, you will ultimately come to agree that no one else can think for you, choose for you, or live for you unless you choose to allow them to do so.
We are all victims only of our own acceptable thinking, choosing, and living.
Awareness First
In order to look objectively at life, every woman and man must become aware of their innate power to choose. Everything is a choice from one moment to the next.
You choose to believe or not believe what you are taught by your parents, your teachers, your society, and your religion. You choose if those teachings are still applicable in present days. It may take time to sort through all the beliefs, and some may be more obvious than others. Then you must become consciously aware of your role in agreeing with them or not.
Choose To Change Your Way Of Thinking
So many people think that if they could just get other people to do things the way they would like, then the world would be a better place. That is a very unproductive way to go about life.
The only thing any of us can change is our way of thinking. We can choose to change the way we think, believe, and choose.
How to think is so different from what to think, which is the old teaching system we grew up with. One idea can change your life when you change the way you look at it!
Even though we are subject to the cultures that we are born into, all beings live without preparation or certificates of graduation for living or surviving. At every point in life, each man and woman has the ability to choose to live intentionally. Some people understand that sooner than others.
My vision is to help women and men around the world become aware of their powerful ability to say, “I Choose. I Am Not A Victim.”
